Senior Trade Compliance Analyst (m/f/d) (Semiconductor Manufacturing Equipment)

Location: Onsite in the Steisslingen, Germany or Tagerwilen, Switzerland office; regional scope covers the EU, UK, and Switzerland.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary trade compliance contact for EU, UK, Swiss, and German import and export activities.
• Provide guidance on customs, export controls, sanctions, licensing, and regulatory issues while supporting operational teams.
• Determine and maintain HTS, TARIC, Swiss Customs Tariff, and ECCN classifications using PLM data, engineering specifications, and regulatory resources.
• Manage export licenses and authorizations, BAFA portal activities, licensing determinations, reporting, renewals, and recordkeeping.
• Resolve Oracle OTM/GTM trade compliance holds involving classifications, origin, valuation, end users, and licensing data.
• Coordinate Intrastat reporting, customs broker relationships, audits, denied-party screening, sanctions reviews, risk assessments, and corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in international business, supply chain, logistics, customs, trade compliance, legal studies, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• At least 2 years of experience in multinational trade compliance, customs compliance, consulting, or a law firm environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in German and English are required.
• Experience with EU, UK, Swiss, and German customs regulations, BAFA export controls, licensing processes, classifications, sanctions reviews, and Intrastat reporting.
• Experience with Oracle OTM/GTM, SAP GTS, Descartes, GTC, or similar trade compliance platforms, as well as customs brokers and EU customs declarations.
• Strong analytical and Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.

• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing equipment, industrial manufacturing, or another highly regulated technology-driven industry.
