Asset Protection Investigator

Location: Onsite in Frankfurt, Germany, with occasional travel to other hirify.global locations

Salary: €59,300.22–€78,424.54 per year, with potential bonus or other variable compensation

hirify.global provides technology-enabled grading, authentication, vaulting, and sales services for collectible trading cards, autographs, comics, coins, video games, event tickets, and memorabilia.

What you will do

• Lead investigations into high-value missing or lost products, internal theft trends, operational errors, and other loss-prevention incidents.
• Use CCTV, access-control systems, incident reporting, data analysis, and intelligence collection to identify and mitigate asset-protection risks.
• Prepare detailed investigation reports, evidence records, case files, recommendations, and countermeasures.
• Maintain evidence retention and chain-of-custody procedures and refer completed cases to local law enforcement for prosecution.
• Collaborate with the hirify.global Security Team, internal stakeholders, external partners, and law enforcement, including attending hearings when required.
• Assess vulnerabilities in digital security systems and physical processes and recommend improvements to leadership and business partners.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional experience in loss prevention or asset protection, preferably in high-value retail or manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, investigative, documentation, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
• In-depth knowledge of security systems, including access control and CCTV/video monitoring.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and manage multiple projects.
• Knowledge of investigative procedures, evidence handling, chain of custody, and preparing case documents for local courts is preferred.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with risk analysis, vulnerability and gap assessments, physical-security surveys, and procedural recommendations.
• Relevant formal education.
• Certification in interview techniques.
