What you will do
- Prototype and refine gameplay features for the Apex Legends team.
- Collaborate with designers, engineers, and other creative disciplines to develop gameplay systems.
- Write functional scripts using sound technical practices.
- Improve features through playtesting, design requirements, and creative direction.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date no earlier than December 2027.
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals and scripting experience with Lua, Python, JavaScript, or similar languages.
- Interest in creating gameplay systems, mechanics, and game modes.
- Experience with a game engine or framework such as Unreal, Unity, Godot, or SDL.
- Strong attention to detail, an eye for polish, and the ability to communicate design ideas to non-designers.
- Collaborative and inclusive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
Nice to have
- Experience with C++.
- Portfolio of game projects.
- Interest in multiplayer live-service games and familiarity with the Battle Royale genre.
