Import-Export & Procurement Specialist (International Logistics)

Location: Onsite in Cotonou, Benin Republic

What you will do

• Manage import and export flows across Benin, Togo, Burkina Faso, Ghana, and other countries.
• Ensure customs compliance, tariff classification, shipping documentation, and alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs authorities, including duty exemption negotiations where applicable.
• Manage the full procurement cycle, from supplier selection and contract negotiation to performance tracking.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize customs, logistics, insurance, and purchasing expenditure.
• Build dashboards, improve stock and cost reporting, and implement automation for procurement and import-export processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, international trade, procurement, business administration, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, import-export, or international logistics.
• Knowledge of West African customs and tax procedures, Incoterms, tariff classifications, and customs regulations.
• Experience with strategic procurement, supplier negotiations, cost optimization, and contract management.
• Proficiency in SAP for procurement, inventory, and logistics management, plus strong Excel skills including pivot tables.
• Fluency in French and English, written and spoken, is required.
