What you will do
- Design and deliver rigorous, enquiry-based History and Geography lessons for Senior Phase students.
- Prepare students for examinations and set ambitious academic goals.
- Assess student progress, provide feedback, and adapt instruction using assessment data.
- Use technology to enhance classroom instruction and lead an engaging, student-centered learning environment.
- Observe, coach, and model effective teaching for apprentice and new teachers.
- Communicate with parents, participate in professional development, and contribute to co-curricular activities and school events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with History or Geography as a major, or a PGCE.
- SACE registration.
- 2–3 years of teaching History experience.
- Ability to lead a classroom independently and understand the needs of the relevant age group.
- Passion for enquiry-based, student-centered learning and commitment to student success.
- Ability to work collaboratively and use technology for instruction.
