Team Lead Python

Location: Armenia, Cyprus, or Poland. Remote or on-site work is available, with offices in Yerevan, Limassol, and Warsaw.

What you will do

• Lead a team of backend engineers through technical guidance, mentoring, and regular feedback.
• Own technical delivery from planning and estimation through releases and production support.
• Drive code quality, architecture decisions, and continuous improvement of existing services.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders to ensure predictable delivery.
• Hire, onboard, and develop engineers while fostering ownership and accountability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial Python development experience and 1+ year of Team Lead experience.
• Strong knowledge of Go, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, cloud environments, REST, HTTP, and gRPC.
• Experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and messaging systems such as NATS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
• Strong engineering practices, including code reviews, testing, clean code, and people management.

Nice to have

• Experience with Grafana/LGTM, Datadog, or similar observability tools.
• Experience with DORA metrics or engineering performance metrics.
• On-call experience.
