Manager, Critical Facilities Operations - Memphis

Location: Southaven, MS; Memphis, TN, United States. On-site critical facilities operations with evening, weekend, and 24/7 on-call availability based on site needs.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop Facilities Operations Supervisors and Technicians.
• Own the maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance of data center power, cooling, HVAC, UPS, generator, and environmental systems.
• Build and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs, equipment calibration strategies, SOPs, emergency response plans, and operational KPIs.
• Manage equipment intake, installation, commissioning, lifecycle management, inventory, spare parts, repairs, and capital projects.
• Lead safety, compliance, root-cause analysis, vendor relationships, service contracts, and cross-functional operational improvement initiatives.
• Manage budgets, forecasts, resource planning, and rapid response to critical facilities incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field; relevant experience may substitute.
• 7+ years managing critical facilities systems in data center or mission-critical environments and 5+ years leading supervisors or technical teams.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems, with experience leading facilities infrastructure projects from planning through execution.
• Proficiency with building management systems, environmental monitoring tools, and computerized maintenance management systems.
• Ability to work at heights up to 50 feet, lift up to 35 lbs., work in noisy or confined environments, and pass pre-employment and annual background checks.
• Valid driver’s license and availability for evenings, weekends, and 24/7 on-call leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience programming or deeply configuring PLC-based control systems and advanced building management systems.
• Project Management Professional certification or equivalent.
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification (EPA 608 Technician).
• Experience managing operational budgets and capital expenditure projects in data centers.
• Experience scaling facilities operations in a high-growth technology or mission-critical environment.
