Senior Associate, Strategic Finance (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, California, USA; hybrid schedule with four days per week in the office and Fridays from home for employees near an office.

Base salary: $119,000–$165,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop unit-economic frameworks to evaluate the ROI of products, features, and business strategies.
• Assess the economic viability of new and emerging products and advise on business strategy.
• Partner with Product, Risk, Analytics, Marketing, Growth, Accounting, and Corporate Finance to improve business performance.
• Own financial forecasts in Pigment and advise executive leadership on business-unit and product performance.
• Prepare board, investor, public-facing, and other external financial materials.
• Build product-health dashboards and KPIs, evaluate experiments, and use AI and automation to improve forecasting workflows.

Requirements

• 4–7 years of relevant experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or business intelligence.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience building driver-based forecasts, unit-economic models, cohort models, and validating forecast drivers and variances.
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills, including scalable, efficient, and auditable financial models.
• Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, and problem-solving skills with comfort working through ambiguity.
• Experience using AI and automation to improve finance workflows and forecasting is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in payments, banking, or money-movement economics.
• Experience with cohort analysis, Pigment, NetSuite, Looker, or Snowflake.
• Experience at a high-growth technology or financial technology company.
