Location: 30 Rockefeller Plaza, New York, United States; full-time onsite work is required at 30 Rock, Friday–Tuesday
Salary: $125,000–$170,000 yearly, bonus eligible

What you will do
- Lead live breaking-news coverage during major events and serve as the primary editorial lead for Saturday and Sunday coverage.
- Coordinate control-room staff, on-air talent, field reporters, and production departments.
- Make rapid editorial decisions that maintain accuracy, clarity, and compelling broadcast execution.
- Plan and execute major-event coverage with the News Specials team.
- Produce live cut-ins, special segments, and additional news content as needed.
- Partner with technical, graphics, audio, and talent teams to maintain high production quality.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of broadcast or cable news production experience, including 3 years on breaking-news or live-event teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent newsroom experience.
- Proven rapid and accurate editorial judgment under deadline pressure.
- Expertise in control-room operations, from rundown creation through final sign-off.
- Proficiency with automated control-room systems and rundown tools, or the ability to learn them quickly.
- Ability to work onsite five days per week at 30 Rock, Friday–Tuesday, including approximately five weekend backfill assignments per year.
Nice to have
- Experience with television writing, rundowns, graphics, video editing, banners, and other television production workflows.
- Experience leading teams through high-pressure live events of national importance.
