Senior Software Engineer, Riot Client - Publishing Platform (React)

Company

Riot Games creates games and player experiences, including the Riot Client desktop gateway used to discover, install, and access Riot games.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain desktop application features using web technologies and C++ components.
• Design and deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable engineering solutions.
• Contribute to technical planning, design discussions, and trade-off evaluations.
• Build an understanding of the Riot Client dependency landscape and align solutions across teams.
• Collaborate with product, production, QA, design, and data insight partners.
• Mentor engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, and engineering practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or comparable software development experience.
• Expertise in React and Node application-level development.
• Professional experience with C++ and complex codebases.
• Experience collaborating with product, design, and QA functions.

Nice to have

• Experience developing desktop applications.
• Experience with Electron.
• Experience with build pipelines.
