People and Culture Trainee - VIE Contract (Biopharma)

Location: Vienna, Austria. The VIE assignment is available to citizens of the European Economic Area aged 18–28, and candidates cannot apply in their own country of citizenship.

What you will do

• Support the Country Head, HR Business Partner, and People & Culture team across personnel administration, development, talent, performance, and engagement.
• Act as a contact person for employees on HR-related topics and cooperate with HR Services.
• Maintain Workday data, create positions, and support time tracking.
• Implement global HR projects locally in Austria, including talent management, compensation benchmarking, and change management.
• Analyze engagement survey data and present insights to support employee experience and culture initiatives.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, employee experience, and HR process optimization initiatives.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, Psychology, or a related field.
• Advanced communication and presentation skills, with strong organization and project management abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Interest in working with diverse teams and projects, plus a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Advanced English is required; German is highly preferred.
• Eligibility for the VIE program: EEA citizenship and age between 18 and 28; the assignment must be outside the candidate’s country of citizenship.

• Previous experience in an HR-related role.
