Senior Software Engineer (Backend/AI)

Location: Herzliya, Israel

What you will do

• Develop end-to-end backend services and features, from requirements gathering and research through implementation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Build and optimize the data foundation and services powering the marketing experimentation and incrementality platform.
• Integrate AI flows and solutions into backend systems and team workflows.
• Solve complex, open-ended industry problems at scale and improve performance, scalability, and system stability.
• Collaborate with product managers, analysts, data scientists, and software engineers to deliver experimentation capabilities.
• Mentor engineers, lead projects, and promote engineering best practices and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience with strong server-side skills in large-scale production environments.
• Strong programming fundamentals and the ability to work productively with unfamiliar codebases and multiple languages, including Clojure and Go.
• Experience with AI concepts, AI tools, and integrating AI workflows into backend systems.
• Experience with large-scale production databases, public cloud environments, and system design or architecture.
• Ownership mindset, teamwork, mentoring ability, and commitment to continuous improvement.

Nice to have

• Experience with A/B testing or marketing measurement.
• Familiarity with Big Data tools such as Scala, Spark, or data pipeline frameworks.
