is a large iGaming business with 1,700 employees across seven offices, including its Malta headquarters.
What you will do
- Build and lead high-performing engineering teams through hiring, onboarding, career development, and effective people management.
- Plan and scope product and technical development roadmaps with Product, Architecture, and Design.
- Own engineering delivery by managing priorities, dependencies, risks, and performance metrics.
- Promote application stability, performance, system health, production support, and SLA compliance.
- Represent the team across Product, Design, QA, Architecture, and engineering leadership groups.
- Improve engineering processes and practices using data, feedback, and post-incident learning.
Requirements
- Strong communication, collaboration, team-building, and people-management skills.
- Experience planning team capacity, identifying skill gaps, hiring, upskilling, and managing performance.
- Solid engineering background with the ability to contribute to technical discussions while empowering Tech Leads and Architects.
- Experience managing delivery, dependencies, risks, stakeholder relationships, and sustainable team workloads.
- English proficiency is required for communication and application materials.
Nice to have
- Experience in iGaming, fintech, or another high-traffic regulated industry.
- Experience leading distributed teams across multiple locations or time zones.
- Hands-on experience with Scrum, Kanban, or similar agile frameworks.
- Production incident management and post-incident review experience.
- Experience managing or contributing to budgets for tooling, training, or events.
