What you will do
- Own and execute the Sub-Saharan Africa content strategy, prioritising growth levers, content health, and production.
- Ensure local templates and elements meet quality standards, reflect cultural relevance, and support business goals.
- Manage content discovery, search, recommendations, editorial surfaces, and performance optimisation.
- Identify cultural moments and execute editorial strategies with Marketing, Social, PR, Design, and country teams.
- Gather market feedback and performance insights to refine content strategy and improve country impact.
- Build relationships with local creators and partners to develop a strong content ecosystem.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in content strategy, regional business strategy and operations, partnerships, or similar roles in high-growth content, media, marketplace, or global technology companies.
- Deep understanding of local content, trends, aesthetics, and user needs in the relevant market.
- Strong analytical skills and experience using data to evaluate content performance and inform decisions.
- Experience managing production workflows, partnerships, or local creator activation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to align cross-functional teams across regions.
- Ability to work effectively across different time zones and in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.

- Experience with AI-supported workflows and scalable content production approaches.
