Associate Manufacturing (Night Shift) (Biotech)

Location: Juncos, Puerto Rico, United States. Full-time night-shift role in a 24/7 onsite manufacturing operation.

What you will do

• Operate manufacturing equipment independently after training, including bioreactors, buffer and media preparation systems, autoclaves, and part washers.
• Monitor equipment, workspaces, samples, and production outputs to maintain safety, quality, and performance standards.
• Follow SOPs, cGMPs, GDP, and safety protocols while completing accurate electronic and batch-record documentation.
• Operate pumps, sterile tube welders, and aseptic connectors; perform sampling, testing, and basic troubleshooting.
• Identify and escalate deviations, support investigations and root-cause analyses, and collaborate with engineers, mechanics, leads, and trainers.
• Adapt to changing production priorities and participate in daily meetings to sustain workflow across the 24/7 operation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or an associate degree plus 6 months of manufacturing experience, or a high school diploma/GED plus 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to follow written procedures, operate and understand equipment, recognize malfunctions, and make adjustments.
• Knowledge of basic computer operations, including MS Office, email, computer-based training, and electronic production systems.
• Intermediate mathematics, problem-solving, organization, documentation, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work flexibly in a dynamic 24/7 production environment, including the night shift.

Nice to have

• Education in life science, natural science, or engineering.
• Experience in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish.
