Technical Application Support Analyst (PropTech)

Location: Cape Town, South Africa office; hybrid model with 3 days working from home per week; NA hours and public holidays

What you will do

• Analyse complex data-related application support issues using custom SQL statements and queries.
• Act as a technical escalation point for advanced database and application issues.
• Perform root cause analysis across database structures, queries, and data integrity.
• Review and improve queries for performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Work with clients to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Support SLA and KPI delivery, documentation, troubleshooting guidance, and UAT validation.

Requirements

• 2–4+ years of experience in application or technical support within enterprise software.
• Experience with query performance tuning, including indexes, execution plans, and optimisation techniques.
• Strong understanding of relational database design, data structures, and large datasets.
• Logical, structured problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English required.
