What you will do

• Lead finance activities across Japan and the wider APAC region as a strategic partner to regional and global stakeholders.
• Drive reporting, budgeting, forecasting, reforecasting, and long-term business planning.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to improve performance, efficiency, and profitability.
• Lead monthly closing and oversee cash flow, working capital, cost control, and financial risk management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, financial regulations, and internal controls.
• Manage external partners and drive process optimization, automation, and scalable finance operations.

Requirements

• Experienced finance leader with a strong background in international companies operating in Japan.
• Broad expertise across FP&A, controlling, accounting, compliance, treasury, and business partnering.
• Fluent Japanese is required; Japanese N2+ is expected, with N1 preferred.
• Fluent English at C1+ level is required.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across cultures and functions.
• Ability to operate autonomously as a hands-on finance leader while balancing local business needs with global processes.
