AVP, Technology Lead - Digital

Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada; hybrid work with flexibility to work from the office and virtually based on business and client needs

Salary: CAD 145,000–235,000 per year, plus eligible incentive plans

What you will do

• Shape and align digital technology strategy, platform roadmaps, OKRs, modernization priorities, and investment plans.
• Lead the evolution of shared digital platforms, including secure and public web, mobile, identity and access management, integration, data enablement, and reusable design capabilities.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery across internal teams, vendors, system integrators, and multiple squads, improving velocity, quality, reliability, and predictability.
• Lead and develop technology managers and teams, optimize operating structures, and build capabilities in digital engineering, agile delivery, vendor management, and operational excellence.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, vendor relationships, total cost of ownership, and technology spend optimization.
• Establish governance for security, resilience, risk, audit, incident management, disaster recovery, business continuity, technical debt, and application health.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree or MBA is an asset.
• 10+ years of experience in senior technology leadership roles delivering complex, mission-critical digital platforms.
• Experience modernizing and enabling identity, web, mobile, integration, or client and advisor experience platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technology teams through transformation, platform ownership, and operating model evolution.
• Experience managing sizable technology budgets, vendor portfolios, and total cost of ownership, with strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
• For Quebec, bilingual French and English proficiency, both oral and written, is required.

• Experience in regulated financial services.
• Advanced degree or MBA.
• Experience with digital enablement, engineering excellence, vendor-heavy delivery environments, and CI/CD practices.
