2027 Foundation Phase Apprentice Teacher (Ruimsig)

What you will do

• Support Resident Teachers in delivering engaging, technology-supported enquiry-based lessons.
• Support classroom management, set ambitious student goals, and provide feedback that helps students improve.
• Assess student progress collaboratively and use assessment data to adjust instructional content and delivery.
• Communicate with parents through email, telephone, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Participate in professional development, coaching, daily team meetings, weekly feedback meetings, and organisation-wide learning.
• Contribute to co-curricular activities, collaborative committees, supervision duties, and selected morning, evening, and weekend events.

Requirements

• Education: B.Ed Foundation Phase, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Education with the candidate entering the third or fourth year of study, or a Bachelor’s Degree plus PGCE.
• The candidate must not be a qualified teacher at the start of 2027.
• Provisional SACE registration is required.
• English and Mathematics teaching experience or curriculum knowledge.
• Understanding of children, strong communication and collaboration skills, openness to feedback, and commitment to teacher development.
• Ability to use technology for instruction and work effectively in a team-based environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Singapore Maths and THRASS English.
• Experience or understanding of Cambridge curriculum objectives.
