Head of Programme (Humanitarian Programme Management): Leading the design, implementation, monitoring, and quality of humanitarian programmes in Nigeria with an accent on strategic oversight, partnerships, fundraising, and grants management. Location: Abuja, Nigeria; duty station-based role.

What you will do
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Country Office programme portfolio.
- Lead fundraising strategy development, including donor policy and priority mapping.
- Develop and implement the partnership strategy with national and international partners.
- Contribute to country strategy and ensure coherent, high-quality programme input across processes and documents.
- Ensure sound grants management through the Project Cycle Management framework and donor requirements.
- Strengthen collaboration between programme and support units and act as Country Director when delegated.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in programme management, business, social sciences, or a related field; an advanced qualification is an advantage.
- At least five years of senior management experience in humanitarian or recovery contexts, with responsibility for programme or project management.
- Experience coordinating or leading consortia and partnership implementations.
- Experience with MEAL systems, accountability mechanisms, integrated programmes, and evidence-based programme quality.
- Experience working in complex and volatile contexts, including emergency, early recovery, start-up, and scale-up projects.
- Fluent English with excellent written drafting skills is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with NRC core competency programming.
- Knowledge of Central and West African contexts and crises.
- Experience designing and delivering team capacity strengthening, including remote coaching, mentoring, and training.
