TL;DR
Head of HR - Northern Ireland (HR Leadership): Leading the people plan and strategic HR agenda for BBC Northern Ireland with an accent on organisational effectiveness, workforce planning, employee relations, talent, inclusion, and culture. Focus on advising senior leaders, managing complex organisational change and transformation, interpreting people data, and building relationships with trade unions and employee representatives.

Location: Belfast or UK-based with regular travel to Belfast; hybrid

Salary: £95,500–£115,000, depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. London Weighting may apply.

What you will do

  • Lead the development and delivery of the hirify.global Northern Ireland people plan.
  • Provide strategic HR advice to the Director of hirify.global Northern Ireland and the senior leadership team.
  • Line-manage the Northern Ireland HRBP, HR Specialist and HR Apprentice.
  • Lead organisational effectiveness, workforce planning, talent, employee relations, inclusion and culture initiatives.
  • Deliver complex organisational change, transformation and restructuring programmes.
  • Represent HR in leadership forums, interpret people data and build relationships with trade unions and employee representatives.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Belfast or elsewhere in the UK and able to travel regularly to Belfast.
  • Significant senior HR generalist experience in a large, complex organisation.
  • Experience advising senior leadership teams and influencing strategic decisions.
  • Strong experience leading organisational change, transformation and restructuring in a matrix environment.
  • Strong understanding of employee relations and experience working with recognised trade unions and employee representatives.
  • Inclusive, collaborative leadership style with direct line-management experience.

Nice to have

  • Broad expertise across HR disciplines and experience handling complex, sensitive people matters independently.
  • Experience developing people strategies, interpreting people data and managing budgets.
  • Experience of Northern Ireland and the wider Nations context.
