What you will do
- Install, qualify, maintain, and deploy automated optical inspection systems.
- Apply AI technologies and rule-based methods to semiconductor product visual inspection.
- Develop and optimize inspection recipes to improve product appearance and reduce visual defects.
- Monitor inspection yield, analyze data, and implement corrective actions.
- Deploy visual inspection systems and best practices across overseas manufacturing sites.
- Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, IT, and equipment suppliers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree in engineering, science, computer science, or a related field.
- Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, visual inspection, or equipment engineering.
- Mandatory experience implementing automated visual inspection using rule-based methods.
- Mandatory experience applying AI to visual inspection.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent Japanese communication skills and basic English communication skills are required.
Nice to have
- Experience deploying systems or processes across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Experience with Python, image processing, machine learning, or data analysis.
- Experience with AOI system installation, qualification, recipe development, and yield improvement.
