TL;DR
Group Financial Accountant (IFRS/Local GAAP): Managing full-cycle accounting, reporting, statutory compliance, tax activities, audits, and consolidation support for assigned entities in an international maritime logistics organisation with an accent on financial accuracy, compliance, and process harmonisation. Focus on leading complex month-end and year-end closings, resolving accounting matters, analysing variances, and supporting Finance transformation and ERP implementation projects.

What you will do

  • Manage full general ledger accounting for assigned hirify.global entities.
  • Lead month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, provisions, reconciliations, and complex adjustments.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual, and statutory financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and Local GAAP.
  • Prepare and review VAT, corporate income tax, and other statutory filings.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and support budgeting and forecasting.
  • Drive Finance process harmonisation and support transformation and ERP implementation projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or an equivalent qualification.
  • 7–10 years of relevant accounting experience in an international or multi-entity environment.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, Local GAAP, statutory reporting, and taxation.
  • Experience with financial closing, reporting, audits, and complex reconciliations.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
  • Fluent English required; additional European languages, particularly French, are advantageous.

  • Knowledge of additional European languages, particularly French.
