Site Reliability Engineer – Associate (SRE)

What you will do

• Build, operate, and continuously improve the Consolidated Trade Ledger, a cloud-native platform supporting Global Markets.
• Improve platform reliability, scalability, observability, incident response, and operational efficiency.
• Develop maintainable automation and engineering solutions using modern programming languages.
• Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement durable fixes that reduce repeat incidents.
• Lead incident execution, escalations, operational readiness, and blameless learning.

Requirements

• Strong programming ability in Java, Go, or another modern language, with experience building maintainable automation.
• Good understanding of networking, messaging, distributed systems, data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Hands-on experience with metrics, logging, tracing, and dashboarding tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
• Experience supporting production systems and communicating complex technical issues to technical, business, and senior stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with GCP, cloud-native architecture, Kubernetes, microservices, or service mesh technologies.
• Experience with relational databases or data-intensive platforms.
• Financial services experience and experience supporting mission-critical systems.
• Experience with canary releases, blue/green deployments, feature flags, or chaos engineering exercises.
• Experience developing AI-assisted operations such as alert enrichment, anomaly detection, triage support, or runbook automation.
