Focus on designing production-grade APIs and data models, refactoring technical debt, building sophisticated testing routines, and scaling the platform to handle millions of documents.
Location: Hybrid role based in Porto, Portugal

What you will do
- Develop and evolve the Kyte SaaS invoicing product and its architecture using Go.
- Design scalable, maintainable, and high-performance backend features and services.
- Collaborate with product managers, product owners, designers, and frontend engineers to deliver functionality.
- Identify technical debt and implement incremental refactoring during feature development.
- Establish backend development, component architecture, state management, testing, and code review practices.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance while participating in Scrum ceremonies.
Requirements
- Professional experience building and maintaining production-grade software as part of a product team.
- Senior software engineering experience in a full-stack team; prior Go experience is advantageous.
- Hands-on experience deploying and running applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and day-to-day software delivery practices.
- Strong understanding of software design, APIs, data modeling, operational concerns, and comprehensive testing.
- Experience with Agile development, cross-functional collaboration, code review, and mentoring.
Nice to have
- Prior professional experience with Go (Golang).
- Openness to using AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
