Kannada Linguistic Evaluator & Functional Tester (AI): Evaluating pre-release AI model responses in Kannada and testing localized experiences on smartphones and next-generation smart glasses with an accent on linguistic accuracy, naturalness, feature parity, and localization quality. Focus on identifying rendering and translation issues, documenting reproducible defects across devices and operating systems, and validating fixes in a secure on-site environment.

Location: On-site in Barcelona, Spain; Cluj-Napoca, Romania; or Tokyo, Japan

What you will do

  • Evaluate pre-release AI model outputs in Kannada for accuracy, naturalness, appropriateness, and overall quality.
  • Fact-check model responses against source material and compare the Kannada experience with the English version.
  • Test complete user journeys on client-supplied smartphones and next-generation smart glasses using iOS and Android devices.
  • Identify localization and display issues, including untranslated strings, incorrect dates, numbers, currencies, units, text overflow, and rendering problems.
  • Document defects with reproduction steps, device and operating system details, locale, build ID, and supporting evidence.
  • Re-test fixes and support other linguistic projects as needed.

Requirements

  • Native-level or fully bilingual Kannada, written and spoken, with current knowledge of everyday and technical language.
  • On-site availability at the hirify.global office in Barcelona, Cluj-Napoca, or Tokyo; remote and work-from-home arrangements are not available for this programme.
  • Confidence using smartphones and laptops, including moving between iOS and Android.
  • Strong attention to detail and objective judgement when assessing quality.
  • Ability to work independently, follow detailed test scripts and guidelines, and explain issues clearly in English.

    • Experience in software or app testing, localization QA, or linguistic evaluation.
