Urdu (Romanized) Linguistic Evaluator & Functional Tester (AI)

What you will do

• Evaluate pre-release AI model responses in Urdu (Romanized) for accuracy, naturalness, appropriateness, and overall quality.
• Fact-check model responses against source material and compare the Urdu experience with the English version.
• Test complete user journeys on client-supplied smartphones and next-generation smart glasses using non-English input.
• Identify rendering, localization, date, number, currency, unit, and untranslated-string issues across iOS and Android.
• Document reproducible defects with test steps, device and operating system, locale, build ID, and supporting evidence, then re-test fixes.
• Support other linguistic projects as needed.

Requirements

• Native-level or fully bilingual Urdu (Romanized), written and spoken, is required.
• Ability to explain issues clearly in English.
• Confidence using smartphones and laptops and moving between iOS and Android.
• Strong attention to detail and objective judgement when assessing quality.
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed test scripts and guidelines.
• On-site attendance in a Welocalize office is required; remote work is not available for this programme.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in software or app testing, localization QA, or linguistic evaluation.
