Construction Manager (Industrial Gas)

Location: Bundang, Korea; field-based work with travel and potential assignment to remote locations in Korea.

What you will do
- Manage the overall construction effort and coordinate multiple contractors at project sites.
- Monitor compliance with safety standards, construction procedures, quality requirements, schedules, budgets, permits, and national health and safety regulations.
- Review contractor progress, staffing, work quality, materials, invoices, reports, and field documentation.
- Supervise heavy equipment installation and specialized activities including rigging, cold box and compressor installation, insulation, painting, oxygen cleaning, and tank erection.
- Prepare and update Construction Execution Plans, contracting plans, site organization charts, daily logs, weekly reports, and monthly project reports.
- Lead contractor meetings and construction updates while reporting risks affecting cost, schedule, quality, or safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in construction engineering or an equivalent field.
- 10+ years of total experience, including 8+ years in industrial gas, chemical, petrochemical, or comparable plant construction projects.
- Experience with project execution, site management, contractor and subcontract management, and construction contracts.
- Knowledge of civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation construction activities.
- English writing skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email, and the Internet; strong spoken English is advantageous.
- Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays when required, within local legal limits.
Nice to have
- Experience in an international engineering company or leading local EPC contractor.
- Construction-related certificates or licenses, including Korean national qualifications in construction safety, industrial safety, gas, or electricity.
