What you will do
- Deliver health economics services across the Human Health Research Services Platform.
- Contribute to study design, research protocols, grant applications, and evidence reviews.
- Perform costing, economic evaluations, statistical analyses, and decision-analytic modelling.
- Develop analysis plans and take ownership of assigned work within agreed scopes, methods, and timelines.
- Communicate health economics findings to multidisciplinary research teams.
- Support reproducible, policy-relevant research and the ongoing development of the health economics service.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in health economics, health policy, public health, or a closely related field, with substantial formal training in health economics.
- Hands-on professional experience in health economic evaluation and analysis.
- Sound knowledge of costing, economic evaluation methods, statistical analysis, and decision-analytic modelling.
- Strong data analysis and programming skills, including R, Stata, and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently, maintain accuracy and reproducibility, and escalate methodological or priority decisions when needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, attention to detail, ethical awareness, and collaborative skills.
Nice to have
- Experience in clinical or human health research.
- Contributions to research publications or competitive grant applications.
- Familiarity with the Aotearoa New Zealand health and research environment.
