Software Verification Lead (Machine Control)

Location: Christchurch, New Zealand; onsite five days a week

Company

Develops positioning, control, and automation products for earthmoving and paving machines in the construction and mining industries using GNSS, optical total stations, lasers, sonics, and IMUs.

What you will do

• Specify, design, document, and execute testing for machine control software and hardware.
• Perform API, integration, and system testing during product development.
• Translate high-level marketing requirements into detailed, user-centric specifications.
• Create bug reports with diagnostic information to support issue triage and resolution.
• Create and maintain test plans, regression plans, and manual functional and non-functional test cases.
• Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and help diagnose customer-escalated issues.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in QA, software testing, or software engineering.
• Experience writing automated tests and working with automation tools and frameworks.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Understanding of Agile software development processes.
• Ability to work onsite in Christchurch five days per week.
• Foreign national applicants requiring or likely to require sponsorship are not currently eligible; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• ISTQB Foundation, Advanced, Agile Tester, or equivalent certification.
• Understanding of C++, web, or Android code.
