Filton Plant Performance Improvement Placement (12.5 months) (Aerospace)

hirify.global Defence and Space operates an aerospace industrial environment supporting the Filton plant, including the A400M Wing, A350 Equipped Gear Beam, and Wing Technology Development Centre.

What you will do

• Analyse plant performance and support projects focused on safety, quality, cost, delivery, and environmental impact.
• Develop and maintain performance dashboards using operational data analytics.
• Support business reporting, data analysis, and business cases related to efficiency and cost savings.
• Lead or support improvement projects and provide daily operational support to the Business Improvement Manager.
• Help deploy digital tools on the shop floor for data reporting, Health & Safety risk capture, and hirify.global Operating System alignment.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Undergraduate student status must be maintained for the entire 12.5-month placement.
• Degree studies in Business, Engineering, a technical field, or an equivalent discipline.
• Ability to communicate effectively and create robust, informative presentations.
• Confidence to lead key sessions and present findings.
• Interest in coding, digital tools, data analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Successful candidates must complete a BPSS security check and may need UK SC-level Security Clearance or Export Control approval.
