Securities VP, Head of Compliance (Financial Compliance): Leading the local compliance department for ING’s Seoul organisation with an accent on regulatory interpretation, compliance risk management, and stakeholder governance. Focus on challenging business initiatives, managing anti-money laundering and data protection responsibilities, and maintaining relationships with Korean regulators.

What you will do

  • Lead the local Compliance department and coordinate support from Regional Compliance in Asia.
  • Translate compliance risk appetite into frameworks, principles, and objectives for functions and product categories.
  • Provide authoritative compliance advice to senior management and challenge business initiatives, processes, and change projects.
  • Manage relationships with regulators, local authorities, senior stakeholders, and regional and global compliance teams.
  • Serve as the local Whistleblower Reporthirify.global Officer, MLRO, Data Protection Officer, Chief Consumer Officer, Chief Privacy Officer, and Credit Information Protection Officer.
  • Drive the local compliance culture and oversee risk areas includhirify.global financial crime, customer due diligence, and personal data protection.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Law, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • At least 10 years of experience in financial institutions, preferably in compliance or risk functions.
  • Expertise in interprethirify.global and applyhirify.global FISCMA and other applicable laws and regulations in Korea.
  • Strong analytical, prioritisation, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluency in both English and Korean, written and spoken.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with regional and global Compliance teams.
