Technical Trainer Specialist (Medical Manufacturing): Delivering hands-on quality and operational training for manufacturing employees in a fast-paced medical manufacturing environment with an accent on OJT execution, competency assessment, certification, and GMP-compliant procedures. Focus on identifying training gaps, coordinating trainer deployment and cross-functional certification activities, and maintaining accurate training records.

What you will do
- Deliver hands-on training to manufacturing employees on current and revised procedures, operational gaps, and process improvements.
- Execute and schedule on-the-job training, assess competency, and ensure operators and inspectors meet certification requirements.
- Maintain training, transcript, progress, and completion records in Workday and other applicable systems.
- Coordinate cross-training, certification schedules, and trainer deployment across production lines with supervisors, engineers, inspectors, and other departments.
- Support onboarding and orientation for quality roles and lead initiatives that improve training effectiveness and consistency.
- Coordinate quality inspection and quality-related SOPs in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
Requirements
- Diploma, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a related electronic or medical manufacturing industry.
- Experience delivering training to individuals and groups, executing OJT, assessing competency, and managing certification processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze training gaps, operational issues, and performance data and optimize operator trainer allocation.
- Ability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays, and stand for at least 75% of each shift with frequent walking.
Nice to have
- Experience in a clean room environment.
- Familiarity with video microscopes, micrometers, calipers, feeler gauges, and dial indicators.
- Knowledge of automated machines, tools, production processes, quality control, raw materials, and manufacturing instrumentation.
- Experience with root cause analysis and mechanical aptitude.
