Inventory Analyst Co-op (Defense Tech)

Location: Waterdown, Ontario, Canada; onsite role

What you will do

• Identify opportunities to avoid or reduce production inventory and excess-to-MRP inventory.
• Generate, manage, and control inventory metric reports and evaluate performance against key indicators.
• Investigate inventory anomalies, demand changes, configuration changes, and stranded inventory.
• Collaborate with departments across the organization to develop and execute inventory mitigation plans.
• Manage obsolete inventory through sales, rework, or scrap and assist with stock-level forecasting.
• Support inventory-focused projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Enrolled in a college or university business program.
• Strong understanding of inventory and production control processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Results-oriented problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Must be eligible for registration with Canada's Controlled Goods Program and obtain and maintain a positive security assessment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SQL.
