Payment Strategist (Brazil Payments)

hirify.global operates a digital health product with a Brazilian payments operation.

What you will do

• Own acquirer, payment service provider, and local partner relationships in Brazil.
• Lead provider pricing and commercial negotiations, including interchange and merchant category classification.
• Design and run experiments across providers to improve authorization, routing, fallback configurations, and conversion.
• Own fraud and risk strategy, including risk-engine rules, identity checks, verification, and attack response.
• Manage chargebacks, disputes, representment, refunds, and recovery-rate improvement end to end.
• Monitor payment performance and set direction through existing teams using transaction data and commercial analysis.

Requirements

• Graduate degree in engineering or a similar discipline.
• Five to ten years of payments experience at a bank, acquirer, provider, or e-commerce business, including hands-on ownership of payments risk or performance in Brazil.
• Hands-on experience with risk-rule engines, chargeback and dispute mechanics, provider commercials, interchange, and merchant category classification.
• Strong data proficiency and the ability to interrogate transaction data independently.
• Fluent Portuguese and professional English required.
• Independence to work without a local payments team, reporting to the Head of Global Payments.

• Subscription or recurring billing experience.
