Software Engineer – AI/ML Platform

Location: Milan, Italy; remote or hybrid work available

What you will do

• Build and evolve shared AI/ML platform capabilities.
• Design and own core services, APIs, and developer tools supporting the AI/ML lifecycle.
• Solve challenges related to scalability, reliability, observability, and developer experience.
• Translate complex user needs into simple, reusable platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineers and data scientists from technical design through implementation and operation.

Requirements

• Software engineering experience with Python.
• Strong foundations in software design and architecture.
• Experience designing, building, and operating reliable software systems.
• Strong practices in testing, maintainability, and code quality.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems, make pragmatic design decisions, and own solutions through delivery.
• Curiosity about the impact of AI on software engineering and practical use of AI tools.

Nice to have

• Experience building platforms, developer tooling, or production AI systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies.
• Familiarity with ML infrastructure and orchestration tools.
• Experience with GenAI/LLM infrastructure, including model APIs, gateways, evaluation, observability, or cost monitoring.
