Senior Director of Communications

Location: 100% remote, limited to candidates residing in California, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, Missouri, New York, Oregon, Texas, or Washington

Base salary: $140,000–$154,000, $160,000–$176,000, $180,000–$198,000, or $200,000–$220,000 USD annually, depending on geographic tier

What you will do

• Own and evolve the integrated communications strategy across external, internal, executive, and crisis communications.
• Advise the CEO and leadership team on narrative, messaging, timing, and stakeholder impact.
• Build proactive relationships with journalists and producers across business, technology, workplace, and trade media.
• Develop campaigns with Product Marketing and Demand Generation around thought leadership, research, and product milestones.
• Build the CEO’s platform across social media, the company blog, earned media, and speaking opportunities.
• Manage crisis communications, PR agencies, communications partners, and performance measurement.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive communications experience across media relations, corporate, executive, and internal or change communications.
• Significant in-house experience in a high-growth technology or B2B company.
• Proven success building journalist relationships and securing high-quality earned coverage.
• Experience developing narratives and campaigns connecting business strategy, products, and industry conversations.
• Experience building executive platforms and coaching executives for media, speaking engagements, and high-stakes moments.
• Exceptional writing, editorial judgment, discretion, and experience managing PR agencies or communications partners.
