Electronics Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote; applicants must be based in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, or the United States

Salary: $40–$125+ per hour, depending on task difficulty and specialization

What you will do

• Design realistic engineering problems involving circuits, control loops, power stages, and other hardware systems.
• Run problems through frontier AI models and evaluate the results against professional engineering standards.
• Compare two model versions on identical prompts and identify performance differences.
• Critique model-generated derivations, schematics, component selections, and calculations.
• Document failures such as incorrect assumptions, unit and sign errors, unphysical results, invalid topologies, fabricated datasheet values, and off-brief interpretations.

Requirements

• Current residence in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, or the United States is required.
• Native or bilingual English proficiency is required.
• At least 2 years of industry experience in circuit or electronics engineering.
• Background in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Strong command of circuit analysis, design trade-offs, and component- and system-level decisions.
• Ability to explain why an answer is incorrect and use AI tools or learn them quickly.

Nice to have

• Current, in-progress, or completed Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in analog, RF, mixed-signal, electromagnetics, antennas, control systems, devices and materials, signal processing, photonics, power, or energy systems.
