Staff Software Engineer (Gaming AI)

Location: Montreal, Canada

Base salary: CA$153,000–CA$229,600 CAD gross for Zone A or CA$165,400–CA$248,000 CAD gross for Zone B

What you will do

• Design and deliver cloud-based services and features for a next-generation game creation platform.
• Build performant full-stack systems with frontend features and cloud services.
• Optimize cloud applications for scalability and performance.
• Apply cloud service design patterns and architecture practices.
• Use agentic AI developer tools such as Claude Code in daily engineering work.
• Drive technical direction and collaborate with AI, infrastructure, data, and leadership teams.

Requirements

• Experience delivering scalable cloud services and cloud-based features.
• Experience designing performant full-stack systems, including frontend, cloud services, and DevOps.
• Familiarity with GCP services and Kubernetes/KCL; Azure familiarity is optional.
• Knowledge of cloud service design patterns and architecture for cloud applications.
• Expertise with AI developer tools and strong interest in game development with AI.
• Professional English communication skills are required.
