Senior Software Engineer (C#): Designing unified, testable APIs for Unity features across desktop, mobile, and console platforms with an accent on cross-platform abstraction, robust API design, and high-quality C# and C++ implementation. Focus on extending the Unity editor, contributing unit-tested code to the Unity codebase, refactoring for maintainability, and solving user issues across platform implementations.
Location: Copenhagen, Denmark
Base salary: 639,400–799,300 DKK gross per annum in Denmark; salary ranges are also listed for Lithuania and the UK based on the primary work location.

What you will do
- Design unified, testable APIs that implement features consistently across target platforms.
- Contribute API implementations and unit tests to the codebase.
- Advocate for simple abstractions across disparate platform implementations.
- Deliver stable, maintainable code using robust API design and high-quality C# and C++ practices.
- Refactor existing code for efficiency and maintainability while responding to user feedback and resolving codebase issues.
Requirements
- Experience with C# development, -based games, and extending the editor.
- Experience abstracting requirements from different platforms into a cohesive API surface.
- Knowledge of native development on at least one desktop, mobile, or console platform.
- Experience contributing to cross-team projects from initiation through completion.
- Sufficient English proficiency for frequent professional written and verbal communication with worldwide colleagues and partners.

- Experience writing native plugins.
- Experience with API design and asynchronous coding paradigms.
