Senior Mechanical Production Support Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Hybrid from Kraków or Błonie, Poland, with three days per week from the office. Occasional travel to Luxembourg and Viana, Portugal is required.

Salary: 1,000–1,300 PLN per day on a B2B contract. The posting also lists 1,000–1,400 PLN per month-day.

What you will do

• Analyze and resolve mechanical and thermomechanical production issues across global manufacturing plants.
• Act as the technical interface between Manufacturing and Product Engineering teams.
• Perform root cause and failure analyses and coordinate effective corrective actions.
• Investigate mechanical design, assembly, tolerance, structural, materials, and reliability issues.
• Support Design of Experiments, validation activities, and failure investigations.
• Collaborate with design, simulation, materials, reliability, manufacturing, and supplier teams to improve product performance and manufacturing efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, manufacturing support, product development, or similar roles.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, GD&T, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with root cause analysis, failure analysis, and structured problem-solving methods.
• Experience supporting Design of Experiments and engineering investigations.
• Ability to translate technical findings into practical design and manufacturing improvements and collaborate with global cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with automotive electronics or power electronics products.
• Knowledge of thermal management, Thermal Interface Materials, durability testing, APQP, and PPAP.
• Experience in mechanical design, product engineering, manufacturing engineering, reliability, materials, or failure analysis.
