Senior Application Security Engineer (AI)

Location: Copenhagen, Denmark

Base salary: DKK 702,200–1,053,400 gross annually

What you will do

• Lead threat modeling, secure design reviews, and penetration testing across hirify.global products and services, including the engine, editor, cloud services, APIs, and internal platforms.
• Perform deep code reviews and manual security testing for high-risk systems, including areas not fully covered by automated tools.
• Build and operate security automation for continuous code review, finding triage, and automated penetration testing.
• Assess AI-native products, LLM integrations, and agentic workflows for application security risks.
• Partner with engineering teams to drive remediation through security guardrails, secure defaults, and paved paths.
• Investigate application security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to secure development lifecycle and compliance activities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of application security experience on complex, large-scale systems.
• Strong knowledge of secure coding and common vulnerability classes, including OWASP Top 10 and related risks.
• Hands-on secure development experience across several programming languages.
• Practical experience with penetration testing, security assessments, vulnerability management, SAST, DAST, SCA, and manual testing techniques.
• Experience with cloud security on GCP, AWS, or Azure, plus authentication, authorization, cryptography, and secure architecture patterns.
• Professional English proficiency is required for frequent communication with colleagues and partners worldwide.
