Senior Manager, HR Transformation & Strategic Programs

Location: Onsite at least 4 days per week at the Chicago or Milwaukee office, with regular weekly travel between both offices and approximately 15% additional travel.

Salary: Base pay starting at $135,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design and manage the HR transformation portfolio operating model, including intake, prioritization, sequencing, governance, escalation, and exception handling.
• Analyze portfolio, workforce, financial, and operational data to identify risks, trends, dependencies, and value-realization opportunities.
• Lead executive governance discussions, prepare decision materials, and document decisions, commitments, owners, and follow-up actions.
• Resolve cross-functional barriers, negotiate tradeoffs, clarify accountability, and escalate issues with clear options and implications.
• Lead portfolio-level project and change management across strategic HR initiatives, including recovery planning, stakeholder assessments, and adoption measures.
• Develop agile and responsible AI-enabled methods using Microsoft 365 and productivity tools while maintaining confidentiality and appropriate controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, Management, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in HR transformation, HR strategy, human resources leadership, enterprise program or portfolio leadership, management consulting, or organizational effectiveness.
• At least 5 years of experience within Human Resources and exposure to multiple HR disciplines, including talent, learning and development, total rewards, HR operations, workforce planning, employee relations, or HR technology.
• Strong understanding of HR operating models, service delivery, Centers of Excellence, HR Business Partner organizations, shared services, and HR transformation practices.
• Exceptional executive communication, data analysis, KPI development, governance, and execution-planning skills in complex organizational environments.
• Ability to work onsite at least 4 days per week at the Chicago or Milwaukee office, travel weekly between the offices, and travel approximately 15% of the time.

Nice to have

• Project or change management certification such as PMP, Prosci, Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or Scrum.
• Professional HR certification such as SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR.
• Experience leading initiatives across global, multi-site, or highly matrixed organizations.
