What you will do
- Lead, coach, and develop application engineering teams delivering stable, measurable, and predictable tooling.
- Oversee technical decisions, technology choices, architecture, and implementation of enterprise-scale platforms.
- Drive technical roadmaps, release governance, quality metrics, and engineering and operational excellence initiatives.
- Develop secure, reliable, diagnosable, monitored, and reusable services for UK government contracts.
- Perform deep-dive data analysis, complex debugging, troubleshooting, and technical debt reduction.
- Partner with engineering, operations, security, business, and senior stakeholders to remove blockers and deliver transformation.
Requirements
- Strong experience managing and deploying enterprise-scale service and network management platforms, including ServiceNow, Entuity, TrueSight Network Automation, TrueSight Server Automation, and NetBrain.
- Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing application engineering teams.
- Experience delivering solutions in highly secure government or regulated environments.
- Eligibility to obtain SC Clearance and work with HMG data handling requirements.
- Experience with enterprise architecture, technical roadmaps, release management, quality assurance, root-cause analysis, and complex troubleshooting.
Nice to have
- ServiceNow Certified Developer accreditation and hands-on development experience.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and Scrum ceremonies.
- Experience with automation, tooling optimisation, performance management, succession planning, and talent development.
