Associate Platform Engineer (AI)

Location: Tampa, Florida, United States. The role is onsite and requires authorization to work in the United States for any employer.

Salary: $60,000–$75,000 annually, with possible eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Write and maintain automation scripts for cloud, network, and security operations.
• Use AI coding assistants to prototype, build, test, and debug working solutions.
• Support infrastructure-as-code initiatives across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Convert repetitive manual tasks into repeatable automated workflows.
• Build and maintain internal tools, dashboards, and utilities.
• Assist with cloud provisioning, firewall and DNS configuration, vulnerability management, and technical documentation under senior guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field, and/or 1–2 years of relevant IT, software, cloud, or security experience.
• Working knowledge of Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor, or ChatGPT to write and troubleshoot code.
• Basic understanding of at least one cloud platform, networking, or security concepts.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and manage tasks.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Terraform or Ansible and Git version control.
• CompTIA Security+ or a comparable cloud or security certification, or willingness to complete one within the first year.
