Lead AI Tech Architect (AI)

Location: Milan, Italy; hybrid work with office presence shaped by business needs, team norms, and local policies

Salary: EUR 84,000–90,000 gross annual base salary, plus an annual discretionary performance bonus

What you will do

• Define IT strategies, architecture solutions, roadmaps, and business cases with clients.
• Analyze complex application landscapes and optimize existing IT architectures.
• Guide high-impact technology decisions across cloud providers, container orchestration, service mesh, API gateways, and software sourcing.
• Lead legacy integration and remediation using facade and strangler approaches.
• Review vendor proposals and technical delivery while managing IT project quality assurance.
• Advise architects and internal colleagues, develop technical community networks, and take on team leadership responsibilities.

Requirements

• 10–15 years of experience in software development, technical project management, digital delivery, or technology consulting.
• Consulting experience, a strategic and self-managed approach, and the ability to lead technology decisions.
• Strong understanding of development methods, DevOps practices, continuous improvement, integration patterns, and synchronous and asynchronous architectures.
• Experience leading legacy integration and remediation, with the ability to balance pragmatic and principled decision-making.
• University degree with above-average academic performance in a mathematical-scientific field, information technology, or business administration.
• Fluent English and Italian required; hybrid work is based in Milan, Italy.

• Thought leadership in deep technology and experience introducing proven methodologies or new ways of working.
