Team Lead - Design and Engineering (Hardware Design)

Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands; hybrid work with work-from-home up to 2 days per week depending on team needs

What you will do

• Lead, support, and develop a team of industrial designers.
• Plan workloads, priorities, and resources across multiple projects.
• Provide technical guidance and support the resolution of complex industrial design challenges.
• Coordinate stakeholders across industrial design and the wider hardware environment.
• Communicate plans, priorities, risks, and trade-offs across multidisciplinary teams.
• Support the future integration of technical writing, hardware support, and regulatory specialists.

Requirements

• Significant experience in industrial, product, or hardware design within a product development environment.
• Experience with sheet metal design and supplier management.
• Experience working with procurement, QC, and QA teams.
• Proven experience leading and developing teams or project teams.
• Strong technical design, stakeholder management, communication, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
• Experience coaching and mentoring designers or technical professionals in cross-functional engineering and product teams.
