Actuarial Analyst

Location: Chicago, Houston, or another Marsh office across the central United States; hybrid with at least three days per week in the office

What you will do

• Analyze healthcare data using spreadsheet and database management software.
• Prepare client communications, proposals, reports, spreadsheets, and presentations.
• Perform basic cost projections using client cost and enrollment data.
• Price medical and prescription drug plan designs using proprietary Marsh tools.
• Model alternative plan designs, programs, and employee contributions to meet employers’ financial targets.
• Develop foundational underwriting and actuarial skills while working with experienced colleagues and clients.

Requirements

• Progress toward a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, engineering, or a related field.
• Currently enrolled student with an expected graduation date in Fall 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Minimum preferred GPA of 3.0/4.0 and a record of strong academic achievement.
• Permanent and ongoing legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
• Strong analytical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• Advanced programming skills in R, Python, SAS, or SQL.
• Knowledge of data analysis, project management, and presentation design.
• Intellectual curiosity and interest in developing new skills.
