Director Software Engineering (AI/SaaS)

What you will do

• Lead strategic planning, execution, and operational excellence for the Site Reliability Engineering organization.
• Support and scale highly available AI-powered SaaS platforms across AWS and GCP.
• Drive incident management, release governance, reliability engineering, and production stability for large-scale distributed systems.
• Track infrastructure, DevOps, and AI operations performance while driving system integration and support.
• Manage software subscriptions, dependencies, end-of-life planning, cost optimization, and EULA compliance.
• Promote innovation through white papers, technical talks, external training, and workshops.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 12+ years of experience in DevOps and Site Reliability Engineering in large-scale production environments.
• 5+ years of engineering leadership experience managing teams of 20 or more members.
• 7+ years deploying, operating, and optimizing production workloads with CI/CD pipelines in AWS and/or GCP.
• Experience with distributed systems and streaming platforms including Kafka, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Spark, Flink, Storm, and cloud-native services.
• Experience with Python, Go, and/or Rust, shell scripting, observability metrics, and Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
