TL;DR
Sr. Training Specialist (Learning & Development): Designing and executing learning and development strategies for salaried employees in ABB Smart Power's Apodaca operations with an accent on competency development, training planning, and stakeholder collaboration. Focus on assessing skill gaps, measuring training effectiveness through KPIs, maintaining job profiles and training documentation, and supporting audit compliance.
Location: Onsite in Apodaca, Nuevo León, Mexico

What you will do
- Lead training needs assessments and competency development processes for salaried employees.
- Translate business priorities into annual training plans, development strategies, and learning programs.
- Design, implement, monitor, and improve learning initiatives using relevant effectiveness and impact KPIs.
- Partner with HR Business Partners, managers, functional leaders, employees, and external learning providers.
- Coordinate job profiles, job manuals, onboarding materials, training records, and supporting documentation.
- Support knowledge retention, internal capabilities, and compliance with applicable management system requirements.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, Talent Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Fluent English communication skills required.
- Experience in training needs assessment, competency development, training planning, learning program design, project management, and training evaluation.
- Experience supporting internal and external audits and maintaining training documentation in line with management system standards such as ISO 9, 14, and 45.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, relationship-building, organization, and multitasking skills.
